Wes Anderson is my favorite filmmaker, and it was only fitting that I did a project that honored his work. The composition was created in illustrator, animated in After Effects, and exported through Photoshop. I'd really like to revisit this project one day and animate the whale through the puppet tool instead of separate layers with properly placed anchor points. That would allow for the whale's tale to move along with the fin and create a more organic look.
